A firm built around sound decisions, clear reasoning, and work that holds up.
Halphen & Associates helps business owners make important tax decisions with a clear understanding of the potential impact before those decisions become permanent. Our approach is grounded in practical accounting experience, audit trained thinking, and documentation that supports the position being taken.
The short version
LaShaundra Halphen is an Enrolled Agent and Certified Fraud Examiner with more than 15 years of experience in tax, accounting, auditing, forensic accounting, financial oversight, and small business advisory services.
Her professional background includes eight years as a Senior Auditor for the State of Georgia, where she reviewed government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses. Her work included financial analysis, internal control evaluations, compliance testing, and fraud risk reviews.
Before entering government audit, she spent three years as a Senior Accountant supporting accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting at the Georgia Dome, now Mercedes Benz Stadium.
She has also completed contract assignments with accounting firms, providing forensic support, audit preparation, accounting cleanup, and financial systems review across several industries.
These experiences continue to shape the standards used throughout Halphen & Associates. The firm focuses on understanding how a business operates, identifying the decisions that affect the tax outcome, and supporting recommendations with clear reasoning and appropriate documentation.
Clients work with Halphen because they want more than a return prepared at the end of the year. They want a firm that helps them think through important decisions while there is still time to act.
Professional affiliations
Professional affiliations support the firm’s commitment to continuing education, ethical standards, and current knowledge across tax, accounting, auditing, and forensic services.
Beyond the numbers
Outside the firm, LaShaundra is a wife and mother of three daughters. She values family, community involvement, professional growth, and building a firm that reflects the same care, discipline, and responsibility brought to each client relationship.
How the firm works
Halphen & Associates works with established business owners who need more than assistance at filing time. The firm helps clients evaluate entity structure, owner compensation, tax planning, and other important decisions while there is still time to influence the outcome.
Recommendations are supported by clear reasoning and appropriate documentation. The goal is to help clients understand the potential tax impact before a decision becomes permanent and to build positions that remain supportable if reviewed later.
